Event Details

Long Beach Rose Parade Float photographs and ‘50s memorabilia will be featured as part of a temporary visual art exhibition from the collection of the Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) and Long Beach Public Library. Smithsonian Scholar Larry Bird will give a talk from his book entitled, Holidays On Display, and discuss the historys most emotionally successful visual elements relating them directly to the CVB archival collection of float photographs.

This event is free due to the generous support from the City of Long Beach and ACLB sponsors.  If you reserve your seat, please honor your commitment to attend, as a reserved seat that goes un-filled, is a seat someone else might have really appreciated sitting in but couldn’t because the event was considered sold out.
